I am a clinical physiotherapist, with a strong interest in cryptocurrency, decentralised finance (DeFi) and blockchain technology.

Describe what you do as a Luno Educator in one sentence

Similar to educating my patients’ about their conditions as per my role in healthcare, I educate everyday folks about cryptocurrency, and the existing use cases for them.

Why did you choose to become a Luno Educator?

To share my experience, knowledge and passion for cryptocurrency, and actively participate in the growth of cryptocurrency adoption by the masses.

How would you define financial literacy?

It is the knowledge that empowers oneself to be more financially responsible.

Why should others care about financial literacy?

This allows them to make informed decisions, as well as minimise risks, with all of their financial resources.

How did you develop your own financial literacy?

Mainly through enrolling in online courses and reading materials regarding finance-related topics. And also going through financial education based on real-world experience.

What advice do you have for people at the beginning of their crypto journey?

Get involved in crypto projects that peaks your interest, but always do your own due diligence first.

What would you say to somebody who is not sure whether to invest into Bitcoin or not?

I’d say to first understand the true value of Bitcoin – the use cases, context of it being “digital gold”, merchants that have started accepting Bitcoin, and so on. Investing in Bitcoin is much more than investing in just another digital currency.
