Luno announced as UK’s fastest growing tech start-up of 2018

We are delighted and incredibly honoured to be named UK’s fastest growing startup in the Tech5 competition hosted by TNW and Adyen.

Joining the ranks of previous title holders, Deliveroo, Transferwise, Lyst, Delivery Hero, Cabify, Onfido and iZettle, is an achievement we do not take lightly.

Tech5 is a renowned European competition that scouts the world’s most innovative start-ups to identify the fastest growing company by revenue numbers.

Our team have been working tirelessly over the last few years and have been laser-focused on providing the best possible service for our customers. Not only are we really proud to see that recognition paying off, but it has also further ignited our purpose by validating our role in the future of money.

There has been a massive spike of interest in cryptocurrencies globally. We believe this to be a result of our customers re-evaluating their options, and reimagining financial potential. We want to upgrade them to that world where money is cheaper, faster and safer. This is a world where transactions are private, yet transparent. We’re giving our customers a vehicle to reach this world, and the tools to enable financial freedom. Tools that are interoperable and programmable, with open, equal access for everyone.

We’re really passionate about this, and we recognise it is only the beginning. It is a massive mission, and there is a long but exciting journey ahead of us.

Now, we’re in the final round to compete against the national Tech5 winners from Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, France and Sweden for the title of “Fastest growing tech company in Europe” – the winner is being revealed at TNW Conference 2018, on 24 May 2018.
