LinkedIn, a social networking website for businesses and professionals have revealed that the number of job ads related to the digital asset industry grew by nearly 395% in 2021.

“Hiring demand surged last year amid an influx of funding. Investors worldwide poured $30 billion into crypto and blockchain startups in 2021, according to PitchBook data,” said a LinkedIn News post.

A survey across 27 crypto firms ranging from exchanges to investment-oriented companies suggests that crypto head-counts increased by 8,400 people in 2021, compared to just 33 openings available across the globe in 2013.

“While most of the job postings were in software and finance, other industries are also seeing a rise in demand for crypto talent,” said the post. “These include professional services like accounting and consulting, as well as the staffing and computer hardware sectors.”
