Mexico may soon join El Salvador in adopting Bitcoin as currency

Samson Mow, chief strategy officer at Blockstream and advisor to El Salvador during its Bitcoin adoption as legal tender, intimated that Mexico is on the list of countries that could be next to adopt Bitcoin

In announcing his departure from Blockstream on Twitter, Mow said his next main focus is to help with “nation-state bitcoin adoption”, adding that “Mexico is on the list” 

What next 

Mow said that now is a pivotal moment in Bitcoin’s evolution. “We’re on the verge of mass adoption,” he said

The story 

Responding to a question on Twitter, Mow said Mexico is on the list of companies he’s aiming to help with adopting Bitcoin. 

Earlier, Mow also posted a photo of him posing with Mexican senator Indira Kempis, who has been hard at work in bringing Bitcoin to Mexico. “Probably nothing,” Mow tweeted. 

“I’m working with people from a number of countries and it’s still too early to say for sure but bitcoin adoption in some form will be inevitable,” Mow told Forbes.
