The story

Three prominent executives have departed US Investment bank JPMorgan in favour of crypto firms. 

The latest exits are former managing director Eric Wagge, digital innovation lead Puja Samuel and banker Samir Shah.

Eric Wragge, a former managing director at JPMorgan with 21 years’ tenure at the bank has joined the Algorand blockchain project as head of business development and capital markets.

Samir Shah, a former JPMorgan banker left the bank to become a chief operating officer at cryptocurrency-focused investment firm Pantera Capital while Puja Samuel, formerly a head of ideation and digitisation at JPMorgan has joined Digital Currency Group (DCG) as head of corporate development 

Commenting on her new role at DCG, Samuel said: “I am excited to help build out new strategic partnerships alongside an energised team that is driving change across the financial system.”
