Deposit, Trade and Win Campaign 

Luno Technology Uganda Ltd. (“Luno”) is running a competition where verified Luno Uganda customers only stand a chance to win a new Xiaomi X10 smartphone (the “Competition”).

The following rules (the Rules) apply to your participation in the Competition:

1. Entering the Competition: To participate in the Competition, you must have one verified Luno account. Each week that you buy or sell UGX 18,000 or more worth of Bitcoin using your Luno account, qualifies you for the competition in that particular week. Each week during the Competition Period, a new winner will be selected.
2. Eligibility criteria: Participation in the competition is limited to customers with a registered and verified Luno account. You must be 18 years or older and otherwise meet the account eligibility criteria set out in section 3 of Luno’s Terms of Use. Any accounts created using fake or fraudulent details will be excluded from the Competition. Employees of Luno or any of its subsidiaries are not eligible to enter this Competition.
3. Agreement to these Rules: Without limiting the applicability of Luno’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to customers who sign up, you agree to be bound by these Rules when participating in the Competition. You represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria and you agree to accept any decision made by Luno in terms of these Rules as final and binding.
4. Using your personal information: Any personal information provided to Luno for purposes of creating your Luno account and in connection with the Competition will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Competition Period: The competition will take place from 9th March 2022 until 14th May 2022 (the “Competition Period”).
6. Selecting winner: Luno will select one winner each week, who meets all the requirements stipulated in the Rules. The winners for each week, will be announced two weeks after the week from the purchase or selling of UGX 18,000 or more of Bitcoin using their Luno account. A participant may only win once, during the Competition Period.
7. Contacting a winner: Luno will contact the winners through email and telephone communication only. Luno is not liable for any winner’s failure to receive the email and/or telephone communication. If a winner cannot be contacted within this period, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Should you be selected as a winner, Luno will verify your identity against your Luno account, in order to award you with your prize.
8. The prize: Winners will be rewarded with a new Xiaomi X10 smartphone. However, Luno reserves the right to offer another equivalent value mobile phone if stocks are not available. Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be refunded, and cannot be exchanged for cash or another product.
9. Announcing the winner: The winners may be announced across any of Luno’s social media pages including Facebook, Twitter and Telegram. The winners will have the option of providing a written or video recorded testimonial. If you are selected as a winner, you agree to Luno publishing your name and testimonial on Luno’s social media pages.
10. Subject to change: Luno reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend, adjust or amend the Competition at any time where it becomes necessary to do so.
11. Governing law: These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Ugandan law and any disputes arising from the Promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
