Hi, I’m Chen Yik from KL. During weekends, I enjoy hiking in the morning and stargazing at night.

Describe what you do as a Luno Educator in one sentence

I talk about cryptocurrency and share my knowledge on the topic through classes and contents.

Why did you choose to become a Luno Educator?

I feel like most people are interested in cryptocurrency because of the money. I wanted to offer a different perspective of cryptocurrency by shining light on its application and embracing the technology in our lives.

How would you define financial literacy?

The ability of to express yourself through finance.

Why should others care about financial literacy?

So that they have the ability to express themselves freely without financial challenges.

How did you develop your own financial literacy?

I started by reading the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, gifted by my lecturer, and dived into the rabbit hole of finance. Now, I enjoy listening to podcasts on business, finance, investing and learning more about the subject everyday through sharing and receiving knowledge.

What advice do you have for people at the beginning of their crypto journey?

It is important to think independently after navigating all the information available in today’s era and filter out what is important for you.

What would you say to somebody who is not sure whether to invest into Bitcoin or not?

Be open minded, you can always try it out with Luno from as low as RM1 and decide for yourself.
