The story

In a letter on the company’s 2022 priorities, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced the video-sharing platform’s ambitions to incorporate NFT’s into its library of features for creators.

In the letter, Wojcicki explains that the move aligns with the company’s focus to continue to expand its ecosystem to help creators capitalise on emerging technologies.

YouTube’s announcement is the latest in a series of moves by tech companies to capitalise on the NFT space. Twitter recently launched an NFT profile display option and in September last year, TikTok announced an NFT collection curated by some of its top creators.
