Music streaming service Spotify is testing a new feature on its app that will allow artists to display and sell their own NFTs.
Currently available to a select number of users in the United States, the feature is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve artist and fan experiences.
“Spotify is running a test in which it will help a small group of artists promote their existing third-party NFT offerings via their artist profiles,” a Spotify spokesperson told Music Ally.
Spotify’s move follows in the footsteps of other apps such as Instagram and Twitter that are finding new ways to engage their users through NFTs.
